fashion's night out in tulsa september 8th
In 2009, Fashion's Night Out was conceived by Vogue managing editor, Anna Wintour. With the economic crisis impacting New York City, FNO encouraged consumers to support the fashion industry by creating a night full of street parties and store events during fall fashion week. After three years, the event has become a tradition, expanding to include international destinations like Paris, London and Sydney. In New York, many designers and guest celebrities make special appearances where they share information about their collections. FNO provides the opportunity to shop while supporting local non-profit organizations, during an early fall evening. This year, FNO will be held on Thursday, September 8, at CENTER 1. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the TULSA Area United Way. Many Center 1 merchants will be participating.
special events at abersons include:
trunks shows from 10 am to 8 pm.
Max Mara-italian luxury since 1951
Vince-casual American sportswear
Rebecca Lankford-custom jewelry collection
From 5-8, models will be walking throughout CENTER 1 with new fall looks .

entry 3 the row
Entry 3- The Row is one of my favorite designer lines we carry. The name comes from the street in England called Seville ROW because of the workmanship that goes into making it.
Sometimes I hesitate to say this, but the line is beautifully designed by the Olsen twins. When I tell our clients this, some react with a look of complete disbelief that a line as clean and well made as the Row would come from these two who got their start as child stars in a TV sitcom . But I tell them, these young women have an eye for detail and design because they have always been involved in their own costume designs. They also hold to their beliefs that the Row continues with limited color and clean architectural shapes that all their clients appreciate. Often they use long coats over narrow pants or soft cashmere sweaters and the best t- shirt around that has a narrow line ROW detail in the back. This is a very clever way to do their logo. Even the way they represent the color black. At times, it almost appears to be brown. I also really like when I speak to other Row employees, they always express how involved the twins are in all aspects of design. So below please view some photos of the fall 2011 collection and also the new 2012 resort line. Give kudos to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for a line well done.

FALL IS ARRIVING AT ABERSONS
entry 2 In June, aberson's begins to receive the first taste of fall clothing. When I tell this to my clients, they often give me a look like "what do you mean, summer is not even "officially" here yet". That is true, but I tell them don't worry it all balances out in the wonderful cosmic world of clothing, because we receive spring in, in November ! One of the first lines that we have received is YSL clothing. This is the first time we have carried the collection. The Yves Saint Laurent house is classic french couture . The company has been part of fashion for more than 40 years. YSL continues the goal of not being overly designed, but rather offers the client a clean approach to designs in beautiful fabrics and shapes . At aberson's we offer 'CHIC' part of the collection. This part of the line takes classics from the past collections and updates them to meet today's world . The line is designed by Stefano Pilati who continues to follow the traditions of Mr Laurent.

Entry 1
I have been a part of Aberson’s for more than 20 years. As a result this experience, I hope to create a blog that will share my point of view of regarding the clothing industry from New York City buying trips to events in the store. I want to talk about the Brochu Walker collection On Thursday, March 10 , Brochu-Walker is bringing their pop-up store to Aberson’s, one of five stores in the country to host this concept of presenting a collection..
I first time saw this collection, designed by Lisa Brochu and Lauren Walker , at the Designer and Agents trade show in New York City . I knew that this collection had what it takes to be a part of our store. The collection was effortless, wearable, and pure. There are no tricks with this line. It is not over-designed with pockets or bows. . To learn more about the collection, please view the video above.
